What is a Short sale? |

A short sale is where you sell your house for less than what you owe and the bank accepts this and writes off the mortgage.
If you owe your mortgage company more than the market value of your home and you need to move, do not let them foreclose on you! Signing the keys over to the bank will destroy your credit. Lenders are no longer giving out subprime loans so with bad credit you may not be able to get a new loan, even if you are trying to down size. But most banks would rather accept a short sale than go through the foreclosure process. I can help you negotiate a short sale to keep you out of foreclosure..
